When deciding between the 2024 Mazda CX-90 and the Mazda CX-90 PHEV, a detailed review of their unique engineering and capabilities is in order. The lower Mazda CX-90 trim levels have a 3.3-liter, V6, 280-horsepower engine, and the upper trims have a 340-horsepower variation of these engine. Both systems include an automatic eight-speed transmission. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV is powered by a single electric motor and a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. This engine is associated with an eight-speed manual transmission. The all-electric driving range is 26 miles, and the combined horsepower rating is 323.


With the exception of the charging port on the Mazda CX-90 PHEV’s exterior, these Mazda crossovers are comparably designed.
