Performance
The 2023 Mazda CX-5 is available with two four-cylinder engine options. The first is a standard 2.5-liter engine that generates 187 horsepower; the other is a turbocharged 2.5-liter system that produces 227 horsepower. All Mazda CX-5 crossovers have all-wheel drive and six-speed auto transmission. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 base-level engine is a hybrid, turbo I-6, 3.3-liter unit offering 280 horsepower. An upgraded version of this system is also available, and it delivers 340 horsepower. The other Mazda CX-90 powertrain is a 323-horsepower PHEV.
Appearance
The 2023 Mazda CX-5 has sporty curves, sleek definition across its cascading hood, and a tall, tapered roof. While the sides are smooth, the Mazda CX-5 has modest contouring and black molding. At the front, the Mazda CX-5 is styled with a wide, U-shaped grille with black mesh. The headlights are triangular and include both a bulb and an LED ribbon. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is significantly larger than the Mazda CX-5. It has a longer, raked roof and a ledge of accentuation on the lower door panels. The smooth sides are accented with a metallic air vent. Both the grille and front bumper have chrome definitions. Above the vertical air intake ports, the headlights have an innovative, bold design.
Features
The Mazda CX-5 is well-equipped with everything you may want in a new crossover. Its features are Mazda Connected Services, a 10.25-inch central display screen, Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor, hands-free keyless entry, USB ports, heated seats, a head-up display, a Bose sound system, and others. The three-row Mazda CX-90 has sliding and reclining captain’s chairs in the second row. It is designed with wood and chrome trim and offers up to a 12-inch central display screen, a wireless phone charger, and a few other features not offered with the Mazda CX-5.
