Introduced in 2024, the Mazda CX-90 made waves as a three-row, midsize crossover SUV. For the 2025 model year, the Mazda CX-70 emerges as a two-row variant of its predecessor, the Mazda CX-90. Offering a choice between gas and plug-in hybrid powertrains, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 brings a fresh perspective to the Mazda lineup with a host of exciting features.
The 2025 Mazda CX-70 boasts sleek, elongated surfaces over its roof and hood, complemented by molded wheel haunches that enhance its smooth sides. Its front end features a broad grille accented with chrome, while the distinctive LED accent ribbon in the headlights adds to its appeal. The Mazda CX-70’s front end is adorned with uniquely shaped, mesh-enhanced air vents.
Under the hood, the gas engine option for the 2025 Mazda CX-70 is a turbocharged inline-six, 3.3-liter system capable of generating between 280 and 340 horsepower. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, drivers can enjoy precise control with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The plug-in hybrid engine offers a 26-mile all-electric range and produces 323 horsepower. The Mazda CX-70 also features Intelligent Drive Select, offering modes for off-road, EV, Towing, and Sport.
