 What’s New for the 2024 MAZDA CX-50?

In 2023, the next-generation Mazda CX-50 debuted by introducing notable updates throughout the vehicle. In 2024, this compact crossover SUV benefits from a few additional improvements to its features and capabilities. Behind the wheel, you can enjoy the engineering updates to the Mazda CX-50’s steering and suspension systems across all trim levels. The two engine options available are unchanged. These include a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter, 187-horsepower system and a four-cylinder, turbo 2.5-liter, 227-horsepower system. Across the board, the 2024 Mazda CX-50 is outfitted with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.

There are also a few updates to the available features in select trims of the 2024 Mazda CX-50. Specifically, the Mazda CX-50, all Platinum trim levels and higher trims for the 2024 model year, now have a standard wireless phone charging pad and a premium Bose sound system with 12 speakers. The other features available for the 2024 Mazda CX-50 are unchanged. The base trim level continues to offer a 10.25-inch infotainment system screen, a digital instrument cluster, a dual-zone climate control system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a keyless engine starter, forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, a blind-spot warning system, and adaptive cruise control. If you choose a higher trim level, your Mazda CX-50 could also be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rear mirror, driver’s memory settings, a head-up display, driver’s memory settings, a navigation system, a surround-view monitor, heated seats in both rows, parking sensors, blind-spot intervention, and several additional features.

The impeccable style of the 2024 Mazda CX-50 is also unchanged from the 2023 model year. This crossover has a decidedly sporty, rugged look and stays true to Mazda’s sleek body language. It is styled with a tall, arched roof, a long and well-defined hood, and a raked rear. The sides show subtle contouring over the doors and lightly flared rear haunches. The nose is styled with a wide, short grille connecting to small headlights. These headlights are styled with a U-shaped bar of LED light. Exterior features may include roof rails, remote keyless entry, 17-inch alloy wheels or larger, heated side mirrors, and a power liftgate.
