Serving Brighton, MI
With its easy-on-the-eyes style, the Mazda CX-30 may have been on your radar since it originally debuted in 2020. In 2022, this compact crossover continues to be a part of the line’s first generation, but it introduces several impressive updates to the mix. After reading about the differences between the 2021 Mazda CX-30 and the 2022 version, we invite you to compare the two model years more closely through a visit to our showroom at Serra Mazda Brighton.
Performance
For 2022, all-wheel drive is now standard for all trim levels. The powertrain and transmission are unchanged between the 2021 and 2022 model years. Two powertrains continue to be available. The lower trims receive 186 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. Six-speed auto transmission is linked with it. Upper trim levels receive 227 horsepower from a turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine.
Appearance
The exterior of the Mazda CX-30 has only been lightly retouched in a few areas. In addition to these minor updates, the 2022 Mazda CX-30 is available with a Carbon Edition package. This package adds 18-inch black alloy wheels, gray paint, and heated side mirrors. In addition, the Carbon Edition adds red leather seats to the interior. The Mazda CX-30 has sophisticated, aerodynamic styling with arched accentuation and piercing LED headlights for both years.
Features
The safety and interior features for the Mazda CX-30 are unchanged, but there are trim-specific differences. The base-level features include an eight-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8.8-inch infotainment system screen, forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assistance, a drowsy driver monitor, and adaptive cruise control. The Mazda CX-30’s more advanced trims add equipment like keyless entry, a multi-zone climate control system, a sunroof, simulated leather or authentic leather upholstery, tinted rear windows, heated seats, roof rails, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a heads-up display screen, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system and other equipment.
