The 2022 Mazda CX-5 and the 2023 Mazda CX-50 have been brilliantly engineered. The Mazda CX-5 is offered with two powertrains. The primary engine is an inline-four system paired with a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission. This equipment produces 187 horsepower. All Mazda CX-50 trim levels come with all-wheel drive and six-speed auto transmission.
Appearance
The Mazda CX-5 is slightly smaller than the Mazda CX-50, but these models share strong aesthetic similarities. Smooth, flowing lines define the Mazda CX-5’s façade through the profile and a crisp line that angles through the side doors. The nose is sophisticated with a thin lower fascia, a chrome-underscored grille, and narrow headlights. The 2023 Mazda CX-50 has somewhat longer and flatter surfaces through its profile. Flared haunches and squared-off wells define the sides. The grille has a black finish on the nose, and the headlights are slightly larger than the Mazda CX-5’s headlights.
