The Mazda crossover SUV lineup holds an incredible group of stunning models for you to consider, and the lineup will grow more impressive in 2023 with the introduction of the all-new Mazda CX-50. The 2023 Mazda CX-50 is a small crossover placed above the Mazda CX-30 in the lineup. Through a comparison of the 2022 Mazda CX-30 and the 2023 Mazda CX-50, you can confidently select a Mazda crossover that delivers your perfect driving experience.

Performance

The 2022 Mazda CX-30 is available with two powertrains. The first five trim levels benefit from the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine’s production of 186 horsepower. This is combined with all-wheel drive and six-speed auto transmission. The Mazda CX-30’s upper trims receive 227 horsepower from their 2.5-liter turbocharged engine. In the 2023 Mazda CX-50, you will find these same engine options across the trim levels. As is the case with the Mazda CX-30, all trims have all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The current Mazda crossover SUVs all show off the brand’s sleek design language, but there are some notable differences between the Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda CX-50. The Mazda CX-30 has a subtle arch through its hood that is brought to life through accents of the hood. The black grille is flanked by slender, angled LED headlights. The side contours smoothly trend downward for a unique effect, and the roof is confidently raked. The Mazda CX-50 is a larger model with a Wider grille and smaller headlights. The definition of the hood is subtler. The arched contours on the sides are fairly horizontal, and the wheel wells are molded.

Features

Most of the features available in the Mazda CX-50 are also offered in the Mazda CX-30. Some of these are a head-up display, a traffic sign reader, a power liftgate, a navigation system, leather material, satellite radio, a sunroof, heated seats, a dual-zone auto climate control system, and more. However, the Mazda CX-50 is also offered with a universal garage door opener, heated rear seats, a wireless charging pad, parking sensors, and a few extras.
