What’s New for the 2023 MAZDA CX-5?
The Mazda CX-5 holds endless appeal for crossover shoppers in the Brighton area and beyond. This compact crossover offers two rows of seats and all of the power and features that you need for a great driving experience. For the 2023 model year, Mazda has not made changes to the Mazda CX-5. This model continues to come in eight distinctive trim levels.
Six of the trims for the 2023 Mazda CX-5 draw 187 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. The 2.5 Turbo and 2.5 Turbo Signature have a turbocharged version of this engine, which produces 227 horsepower. Across all trims, the Mazda CX-5 continues to come with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. Select trims are also available with paddle shifters and Off-Road and Sport modes.
The Mazda CX-5’s exterior is captivating with its graceful, smooth profile and strong accentuation on the sides of the hood. The sleek sides are lightly defined and display lower-body molding. Across the front end, the triangular, LED-boosted headlights link to the corners of the wide grille. Lower trims have auto high beams, 17-inch alloy wheels, and rain-sensing wipers. Some of the other Mazda CX-5 trims for 2023 may add tinted windows, a sunroof, 19-inch wheels, heated and power-folding side mirrors, and a power liftgate.
The interior of the Mazda CX-5 is surprisingly spacious despite its compact exterior. Throughout all trims, the 2023 model year has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a push-button starter, Mazda Connected Services, remote keyless entry, and a keyless engine starter. Upper-level trims include driver’s memory settings, heated front and rear seats, a dual-zone climate system, upgraded upholstery, a head-up display, a Bose audio system, a wireless charging pad, a navigation system, and others.
Safety features included in all 2023 Mazda CX-5 trims are lane departure mitigation, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and a rear cross-traffic sensor with a blind-spot monitor. At higher levels, the Mazda CX-5 adds rear automatic braking, a 360-degree camera, and parking sensors.
